NIRMAL

Detailed Description

NIRMAL (Near-Infrared Microbial Analysis Logger) is an advanced and user-friendly device aimed at providing rapid and reliable microbial contamination analysis. Using near-infrared spectroscopy, NIRMAL facilitates quick detection of microbial loads in liquids like water, milk, and other consumables, ensuring quality control and safety. This portable and robust tool is ideal for industrial, laboratory, and on-field applications.

Working Principle

NIRMAL employs near-infrared light to interact with the sample. Microbial cells exhibit unique absorption patterns at specific wavelengths. By analyzing these patterns, the device accurately quantifies microbial concentrations using integrated algorithms, eliminating the need for traditional, time-intensive culture techniques.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

  1. Power on the device: Ensure NIRMAL is charged or connected to a power source. Turn it on and verify proper calibration using the included calibration standard.
  2. Prepare the sample: Place the liquid sample into the provided cuvette, ensuring it is clear of any debris or air bubbles.
  3. Insert the sample: Position the cuvette in the designated slot of the device and close the lid to prevent external light interference.
  4. Start analysis: Press the "Analyze" button on the device or control software to initiate the measurement.
  5. View results: Within moments, the microbial concentration will appear on the device screen or connected interface.
  6. Clean and store: After use, clean the cuvette thoroughly, switch off the device, and store it in a safe, dry location.
